With the "Ishinomaki project", we offered students, who live in the Ishinomaki city, Miyagi Prefecture and affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake disaster (March 11, 2011) and preparing for high school or university entrance examinations, lecture videos and mock exams made by Shingakukai, Educational Corporation based in Nagano-prefecture, using the mobile learning platform developed by Castalia, on 100 Motorola XOOMs provided by KDDI.  We are now collecting feedback from the students as to what kind of the effectiveness mobile learning using tablet devices, Internet and audio/visual contents gained in order to cover the loss and lack of classrooms, teachers, and textbooks, as well as what kind of issues we have faced so far?  The project will continue until mid-March 2012.
