Castalia releases Goocus, a next-generation mobile learning platform

Castalia Co., Ltd. (registered main office: Nagano, Japan / headquarters: Tokyo, Japan / CEO: Satoshi Yamawaki) has released "Goocus" (http://gooc.us/), a smartphone-based mobile learning platform, on May 8, 2015.

Goocus is the third generation of the mobile learning platform/services that Castalia has developed over the years. In order to cater to the learning era pivoted on smartphones to come, we have developed everything from absolute scratch, from system design to functions to interface and visual design. By means of Goocus, Castalia hopes to create an environment where learning is sustainable for every company, organization, or person, with the help of mobile learning.
Goocus is the solution for the "continuity of learning". The application pursues three features, namely "social learning", "visualization of learning", and "gamification"; we research and develop the ways to make learning a part of daily activities. Aiming to become "the ultimate autonomous learning engine", we will make Goocus available not only in Japan but also in the international market as the future world standard of cloud-based learning services.
As for "goocus", the social Wikipedia reader we have offered under the same name as the new platform, will be released anew under a different name.
The newly released version of Goocus the platform has the following functions and features in addition to those of the previous "goocus pro":
-Timeline: Consolidates information and visualizes what is happening within the learning group.
-Learning graph: Accumulates learning experiences, summarizes the learning trends, encourages self-awareness of the learning trends.
-Badge/point system: Visualizes and quantifies the user's activities, encourages gamification by gathering such visualization/quantification, comprehends each user's tendencies and visualizes the goals. *1
-Customization: UI skin colors can be set in accordance with the company's preferences. UI can be customized from the administration interface. *2
