Goocus ADOPTED FOR JOETSU UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION’S AY2020 TEACHING LICENSE RENEWAL TRAINING PROGRAM

PROGRAM AVAILABLE ON SMARTPHONE AS WELL AS PC

Castalia’s mobile learning platform Goocus has been adopted for the AY2020 teaching license renewal training program at Joetsu University of Education (JUEN), a national university headquartered in Joetsu, Niigata Prefecture

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, many universities have ceased the teaching license renewal training program or have switched to online teaching.  JUEN has adopted Goocus, which they have been using internally, for the learners of the aforementioned program as well.  By creating videos dedicated to the program and providing courses optimized for learning on smartphones, they offer busy teachers, who are the students of this program, an environment that makes them easy to learn.  The program consists of a total of 12 courses (2 compulsory, 5 compulsory-elective, 5 elective) at this time.

Goocus has been adopted as platforms of external programs and courses at many universities besides JUEN.  With Goocus, you can construct a smartphone-based educational app without having to code.  We have enhanced on the elements, such as interface designs and other functions, to realize a “continuable autonomous learning” experience.  We will continue to further develop Goocus to help the universities keep the education going despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
