“DIGITAL LEARNING LAB”, A NEW MEDIA BY CASTALIA AS PART OF ITS LONG TIME QUEST FOR THE FUSION OF TECHNOLOGY AND LEARNING
Introducing knowledge and case studies on IT and education to enhance the provision of fulfilling learning experiences
Castalia launched “Digital Learning Lab”, a lecture-style owned media of knowledge and case studies on technology and learning experiences accumulated through the development and operation of mobile learning platform “Goocus”, on October 16, 2020.
Deriving its name from a “spring of knowledge” in Greek mythology, Castalia has worked on the solution of social problems by way of technology and education. The social problems have changed from time to time; as of 2020, one large problem that we face is how to live with the COVID-19 pandemic, which urges us to re-examine the whole concept of learning.
The biggest advantage of learning formats using IT, such as online education and remote training sessions, is that the fusion of technology and learning exerts secure effect thanks to the availability of unrestricted and creative approach. We believe that it is possible to provide an enhanced learning experience even in the restricted environment of avoiding “the three Cs” and “outings”, if we use the right approach catered to each educational program that is based on the understanding of this characteristic.
In order to assist everyone who will introduce online education, learning, seminars, and training sessions, “Digital Learning Lab” will introduce knowledge and case studies on technology and learning experiences in the form of lectures.

The main axis of development is on smartphone-based “continuity of learning”; we pursue “social learning”, the “visualization of learning experiences”, and “gamification” and research on how a learning experience can be an everyday routine.
