Background of the Seminar

This seminar is part of the JICA Public-Private Partnership Program titled
“Dissemination, Demonstration, and Business Development Project for Introductory Programming Education in Basic Education in Kenya.”
As part of this initiative, officials from KICD will be invited to Japan to observe examples of digital technologies and programming education materials used in Japanese schools. The purpose of this visit is to deepen their knowledge and apply these insights to educational improvement in Kenya.
This seminar will be held on the final day of the KICD delegation’s one-week stay in Japan. Participants can expect valuable discussions and knowledge sharing on education in both Japan and Kenya, fostering mutual understanding between the two countries.
Through this JICA project, the goal is to expand and enhance the quality of programming education in Kenya’s basic education sector. Castalia Inc. collaborates with KICD to promote educational packages in public education, while also developing a sustainable business model through the franchising of programming education schools in the private sector.
